On June 19, 2006, Petra Brljafa Tomčić, student of the 5th class has successfully defended her Master’s thesis entitled “Managing Human Potentials as Instrument of Business Efficiency”. We warmly congratulate Petra and wish her a lot of success both in private and business life!

Because of the collective vacation at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, GPE office will be closed from July 31 to August 28. We a wish pleasant summer holiday to all our professors, students and associates.

“The Hallmarks for Successful Business” by David Hall and Dinah Bennet is the first title published by GPE. This practical guide for successful business development will be used as literature within the Recognition of Business Opportunities course, which is taught at the first semester. The book was translated and published with kind permission of the authors and the publisher, Management Books 2000 Ltd.

On June 03, 2006 an interesting lecture on entrepreneurship was held by Roger E. Fishman, within our Maverick series of lectures.

Lecture was also attended by special guests from USA: David Meier and Neil DeLaurentis from Open Society New York, and actress Courtney Thorne-Smith, known for her roles in popular TV series “Ally McBeal” and “Melrose Place”.
