The course leans on the definition of entrepreneurship as (proactive) behavior of individuals, groups and institutions in context of globalization. Results of the globalization process are increased uncertainty and complexity, which in various ways influence lives of people in the society. The key topics are: Understand the definition of entrepreneurship in categories of behavior, characteristics and skills; Defend such definition in relation to the theory of entrepreneurship that sees entrepreneurship as a contingent of reactions to uncertainty and complexity in the environment; Describe entrepreneurship in categories of personal characteristics of individuals; Identify relationship of entrepreneurship towards business and especially towards companies which are managed by an individual owner; Develop understanding of the term “entrepreneurial culture”; Show how design of an organization of any kind can stimulate or limit efficient entrepreneurial behavior; Show how people from different physical and social environments and with different life experiences can act entrepreneurially under pressure; Ensure true empathy with such situations through the process of dramatization of results of “research”, which will be conducted by students.
