By combining model and theoretical approach, this course gives insight into the basics of the science of supply chain management, and also, with in-depth analysis of case studies from the practice proves and examines contemporary reality of current practice trends. The course studies processes of inventory and demand management in the supply chain, followed by the fundamental issues of coordination and integration in the supply chain, as well as logistics in the narrow sense. The process approach is supported by metrics, ICT and lean approach. Through these areas course’s objectives are achieved – training to recognize opportunities to reduce costs and increase the level of service through cooperation in the supply chain.
