1. Development of Science Parks in Osijek and Maribor

    On July 03, 2008, at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, round table “Development of Science Parks in Osijek and Maribor”, within the “Conceptual Framework for Establishment of Science Parks in Maribor and Osijek” project was held. At the round table, representatives of local governments, business sector and the university talked about the importance of science parks for connecting research capacities, business sector and local governments with the aim of innovative development of Eastern Croatia. Project “Conceptual Framework for Establishment of Science Parks in Maribor and Osijek” is co-financed by the European Union, and is implemented by Faculty of Economics within the Community Initiative INTERREG III A, Neighbourhood Programme Slovenia-Hungary-Croatia.   2. End of Summer Semester

    With a lecture on how to write integrative assignments, III. semester for the 11th class of graduates ended on last Thursday (July 03, 2008). Due to later start of I. semester, there will be a summer break for the 12th class and the semester will continue on September 04, ending at the end of the month. The first week of classes in the new winter semester is scheduled for September 11, for the 11th class, while lectures for the 12th class start on October 9, 2008.

  3. Ivana Bestvina Bukvić Defends Master’s Thesis

    Today (June 18, 2008), Ivana Bestvina Bukvić, student of the 2nd class of Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship has earned the title of Master of Science after successfuly defending her Master’s thesis entitled “Dynamic Analysis and Evaluation of Market Risk of Long-term Investment Projects”. Master’s thesis was defended before the committee of professors consisting of chairman Marijan Karić, Ph.D., mentor Stipan Penavin, Ph.D., and Nataša Šarlija, Ph.D. (committe members). Sincere congratulations!

  4. New Master of Science

    Tatjana Andraković, student of the 9th class of Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship has successfully defended her Master’s thesis (June 02, 2008) entitled: “BSC Methodology as the Basis for Entrepreneurial Venture Management”. Thesis was defended before the committee of professors: Nataša Šarlija, Ph.D. – chairwoman, mentor Sanja Pfeifer, Ph.D., and Ðula Borozan, Ph.D. (committee members). Congratulations!

  5. Study Trip to England and Scotland

    Some fifty students and several professors of Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship have visited England and Scotland from 22-27 May, 2008. The official “work” part of the trip consisted of visits to two development agencies in Newcastle, University Technology Park and Durham Business School in Durham, and Hunter Center for Entrepreneurship in Glasgow.
