1. Finnish Ambassador Visits Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship

    On May 8, 2008, Finnish Ambassador to Croatia, HE Mrs. Ann-Marie Nyroos with husband and first secretary of Finnish Embassy, Mr. Joonas Heiskanen visited Graduate Program in ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Slavica Singer, PhD, program head, Sanja Pfeifer, PhD, and Mirta Matešić, program coordinator familiarized honorable guests with the program.

    There was also talk about possibilities for strengthening the collaboration with Finnish universities, especially University of Turku , with which we already cooperate in preparation of a doctoral program in entrepreneurship, but also about including new courses like, for instance, a design course, into our program.

  2. Start of the 1st semester for the new 12th class

    Yesterday (April 10, 2008) marked the start of the first semester for the new, 12th class of Specialist Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship. Head of the Program, professor Slavica Singer gave the welcome speech for the new students. Lectures have started with the obligatory course “Opportunity Recognition” which was held by Željko Turkalj, PhD and Igor Medić, MSc. We wish a successful working semester to the new class and lecturers.

  3. New Master of Science – Daria Puhar!

    Today (March 14, 2008) Daria Puhar, student of the 5th class of Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship has succesfuly defended her Master’s thesis entitled “Human Resource Management and the Development of Corporate Entrepreneurship” before the committee of professors consisting of Sanja Pfeifer, Ph.D (chairwoman), Slavica Singer, Ph.D., and Stipan Penavin, Ph.D. (members). We warmly congratulate Daria and wish her a lot of success in private and professional life!

  4. Open Door Day

    On Thursday, February 28, 2008, Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship held an OPEN DOOR DAY at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. Head of the program dr. Slavica Singer, together with professors – lecturers who participate in the program presented the Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship to potential candidates. Within the presentation of the program, a short workshop for interested candidates was also held, at the end of which several prizes courtesy of GPE were awarded to the fastest and the most skilled participants.

  5. Third TEMPUS ICES Meeting Held in Osijek

    On January 30 – 31, 2008, the third TEMPUS ICES (International Center for Entrepreneurial Studies) consortium project meeting was held at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek. Consortium members from Finland, Austria, Slovenia, United Kingdom and Croatia discussed development of conceptual framework of the doctoral program in entrepreneurship, development of virtual learning platform and the role of Microsoft. The next consortium meeting will be held in October 2008 in Turku, Finland. Within the meeting, a workshop will be held for professors – mentors of doctoral student of the new “European Entrepreneurship Doctoral Programme”, implementation of which is planned for end of 2008.
