ENROLMENT
into 11th cohort of inter-university interdisciplinary doctoral study “ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIVENESS” in academic year 2023/2024 for obtaining academic degree Doctor of Science in the area of social sciences (Ph.D.)
I.
1. Inter-university interdisciplinary doctoral study ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIVENESS is conducted by Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek, International Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (ICES) and UNESCO Chair in Entrepreneurship Education in collaboration with Turku School of Economics, Finland; Univerza v Mariboru, Slovenia; Universitaet Klagenfurt, Austria; Durham University, United Kingdom.
2. Inter-university interdisciplinary doctoral study ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIVENESS lasts three years or six semesters and upon its completion students obtain 180 ECTS credits and academic degree Doctor of Science (Ph.D.) in social sciences.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

The right to enrol in Inter-university interdisciplinary doctoral study ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIVENESS is exercised by students who have:
- Completed university graduate study or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study in the area of social sciences, field: economics or law,
- Completed university graduate study or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study that is not in the area of social sciences (field: economics or law) with the obligation of passing supplemental exams,
- Completed undergraduate university study according to the study system prior to 2005 in the area of social sciences, field: economics or law,
- Completed undergraduate university study according to the study system prior to 2005 that is not in the area of social sciences (field: economics or law) with the obligation of passing supplemental exams,
- Completed postgraduate scientific (master’s) study in the area of social sciences.
- Persons who have completed their studies abroad must undergo the procedure of academic recognition of foreign higher education qualifications.

III.
With their application, the applicants must enclose the following:
- Filled in application form (available at the web address https://www.ices.hr/en/doctoral-program/)
- Curriculum vitae
- Proof of citizenship
- Certified copy of the diploma of completed studies
- Certified transcript of grades or diploma supplement
- Recommendation of one university professor, if the average grade is lower than 3.51
- Two photographs (4 x 6 cm)
- Applicants who are in the system of science and higher education in the associate position of assistant are required enclose their work contract
- Motivational essay (one page of text)
- If tuition is paid by the employer, certified employer’s confirmation of payment of tuition fee for the applicant is required
- Completed and signed consent form for the collection and processing of personal data for the purpose of Tender (available at the web address www.ices.hr)

IV.
Cost of inter-university interdisciplinary doctoral study
The total tuition fee in accordance with the study programme of the Inter-university interdisciplinary doctoral study “ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIVENESS” is EUR 12,608.67 (HRK 95,000.00 with fixed conversion rate of 7.53450). Tuition fee is paid to the Faculty’s bank account: IBAN HR9424020061101070944, reference number: (02) 230200-OIB (personal identification number) or date of birth.
Applicants who pay the full amount of tuition fee upon enrolment are granted a 5% discount.
Dynamics of payment of tuition fee in instalments:
- EUR 2,123.56 (HRK 16,000.00 with fixed conversion rate of 7.53450) upon enrolment to the study + EUR 2,123.56 (HRK 16,000.00 with fixed conversion rate of 7.53450) by the end of year I
- EUR 2,123.56 (HRK 16,000.00 with fixed conversion rate of 7.53450) upon enrolment to year II + EUR 2,123.56 (HRK 16,000.00 with fixed conversion rate of 7.53450) by the end of year II
- EUR 2,123.56 (HRK 16,000.00 with fixed conversion rate of 7.53450) upon enrolment to year III + EUR 1,990.84 (HRK 15,000.00 with fixed conversion rate of 7.53450) by the end of year III
V.
Student selection:
Selection of students is done according to the average grade at the graduate study, motivational essay, existing research and scientific references, and recommendation of potential research advisor. Applicants must have command of English language.
