At the end of 2021 we are still learning how to design efficient crisis management in our private and professional lives due to stubborn presence of the COVID-19 pandemic. This new normal opened so many questions, not new, but so often ignored or pushed under the carpet (solidarity, collaborative actions in order to achieve goals of obvious priority – stay alive and healthy, appreciate knowledge).
All of us are connected in a venture of developing new knowledge (through your doctoral research) and building a responsible and engaged society, i.e. enterprising society aiming to achieve wellbeing for everyone.
The last day of 2021 is a perfect moment to remind ourselves of unfinished businesses that we have and commit ourselves to a ’to do’ list for 2022, on which working on your doctoral thesis has a very high priority. Identifying gaps in knowledge and exploring the ways how to build new knowledge with the highest research integrity is a platform on which we will always collaborate.
On behalf of our ICES team, I wish you a lot of curiosity, enthusiasm and persistence, but above all health and satisfaction with your decisions.
Count always on us,
Slavica Singer
